Der Masse an Beats aus LA nach zu urteilen, müsste in der Big City of Dreams, die Detroit als Beatwerkstatt endgültig abgelöst hat, jeder mit einem Sampler unter dem Arm durch die Gegend laufen. Ras G scheint an seiner MPC jedoch nicht in seiner Küche in LA, sondern in einer Raumsonde, die ihre Kreise durch unser Sonnensystem zieht, gebastelt zu haben. Das Debüt des Labelinhabers Brotha From Anotha Planet droppte aus dem Kosmos in die Mitte des Brainfeeder-Kollektivs und schöpfte aus der irdischen Musikgeschichte von Sun-Ra über Portishead bis Public Enemy in die Zukunft des Jahres 3000 auf dem Planeten Mars. Nach FlyLos eigenen Aussagen gibt es gerade niemanden, der klingt wie Ras G. Der überzeugte Rastafari interessiert sich indes nicht die Bohne für die Aufregung um seine Person, sondern raucht lieber weiter Blunts und guckt in die Sterne. Mit dem zweiten Stück Afrofuturismus_Down To Earth_ segnet der rätselhafte Astronom von einem anderen Planeten unsere Gefilde mit psychedelischer Beatphilosophie in einer schwer zugänglichen Kollage aus Dub, Hip Hop und Elektro.
