When we started this about a year ago, living together in the same building, sharing the same passion for music, we were passing on links of the stuff we found online. It´s a bit like digging for wax - a lot of crap but then at the end of the box you find a beautiful piece of music.. So the next step was to share what you find on an bigger platform.
While browsing the web and selecting everyday what stuff is worth promoting, we meet artists who catch our attention. We just want more of their music.
We invented this compilation as fans and asked our favorite underground producers to contribute..
We´re happy to deliver you a selection of mainly unreleased beats!

Back to Cali once again and we meet this week’s hero Glen Porter waiting with the fresh mixtape in his hands. Mix Zapped brings some moments that can be described as in between. Some Dj Shadow styled mid tempo rithms making you feel like graff writer in the middle of the night nervously squeezing a can gradually changing with some brighter motives. Vocals delivered in various packages – rap, song or just indistinct exploatation of the voice. If talking about cans, check the tracklist and you’ll find a hint where all this slight spice of krautrock coming from. As well as all the other additives, augmenting the main flow, like some classic pop, little bit of electronics, dubstep, Glen’s own material etc. A soundtrack for urban tomb raider.

Greetings and welcome to another installment of Rhythm Incursions. This session is a bit different from the accustomed live mixes which included mostly new and classic material. This time the music selected was inspired by a specific topic. Since I am in full studio/beatmaking mode I foresee the next few podcasts to be in this nature, as going through stacks of vinyl is once again a daily routine.
