RELEASE is an effort to get creative people out of their cosy natural habitat and make their work heard or seen by a wider public. We know there is a lot of undiscovered talent under the radar that deserves more attention. We try not to limit ourselves to genres or styles. Which makes Release hard to pinpoint by a simple baseline. What connects the people we promote is their wayward forward-thinking approach resulting in a off-centre yet accessible art. At the same token, we encourage collaborations between musicians, DJs, VJs, filmmakers, graphic designers, photographers and so on. A natural thing to us, given these multimedia times. We do this by organizing events where we bring all these people together. To expose their art to a public or to be inspired by (each) other(s). We organize concerts, jams, expositions, screenings, workshops, lectures, … by preference not separately but combined as a multifaceted experience. We also make use of the many different media at our disposal; websites, radio shows, (social) networks, viral videos, … Because RELEASE is a continuous effort we are on the constant search for new talent and chances. If our project sparks your interest, do not hesitate to contact us. We’re interested to discover new artists but we’re also looking for possibilities to organize our events or work together with likeminded people and organizations.
