Für sein neues Album "Hooked Up Classics" hat sich Shawn Lee wieder mal den Ping Pong Orchestra-Hut aufgesetzt. Als Inspiration diente die gleichnamige Serie aus den frühen 80ern, in deren Rahmen Louis Clark (Electric Light Orchestra) klassischen Musikstücken ein zeitgemäßes Gesicht verpasste, auf gut Deutsch also mit genreremden Zutaten einen tanzbaren Remix braute. Nun fühlt sich Shawn Lee berufen, in dessen Fußstapfen zu treten und diese Reihe fortzusetzen, indem er 12 Klassik-Stücke durch die Ping Pong Orchestra-Maschine schleust und zu einer Art Filmmusik umfunktioniert. Das ist gut, kreativ und passt genau deshalb perfekt zu Ubiquity.
