Juke oder Footwork? In der Beschreibung zum aktuellen XLR8R-Podcast lese ich diese Begriffe zum ersten Mal und bin sofort angetan von diesem radikal nach vorne-jackenden Sound, den wildgechoppten Samples und sonstigen MPC-Gestotter. Mögen sich die Hater in den Kommentaren wild streiten, einer der letzten bringt es meiner Meinung äußerst passend auf den Punkt:

Thanks Rashad and Dj Spinn for the mix and everybody that "fuck around stoned with an MPC, and crank out a track every 5 min" ... gotta thank them for Hip Hop, House Music, Garage, electrónica or whatever new stuff since Barry Manilow. Each of those are little steps in making music go FORWARD.

heftig reduziert.
ging mir nach sehr kurzer zeit auf den zeiger.
dann lieber scuba, mark e, four tet (obwohl ich seinen neuen mix erst einmal durch hab).
