Talib Kweli und Hi-Tek kommen mit ihrem neuen Album als "Reflection Eternal" sicher nicht an vorangegangene Großtaten heran, beweisen aber auf "Revolutions Per Minute" dennoch quasi im Vorbeigehen, dass sie a) über diese einzigartige Chemie verfügen und b) dass sie immer noch für den einen oder anderen Hit gut sind. wirklich eine - dare i say 'überraschung ? - wie brauchbar das album und v.a. die single geworden ist

Ich habe vor allem das Gefühl, dass das Album auf einmal da ist - und keiner es so wirklich mitbekommt. Nirgendwo Promotion oder irgendein Buzz, dabei ist es wirklich ein verdammt gutes Album.

Das sehe ich nicht so. Es ist langweilig und kitschig. Das sage ich als großer Reflection Eternal Fan.

Es ist immer noch alles schön warm, aber irgendwie hat es an Stil verloren. Es fällt mir schwer Kweli lyrisch noch ernst nehmen zu können. Ähnlich wie mit Q-Tip.

dieser gospel-pathos bei "in this world" ist großartig. "get by" reloaded, logisch, aber krieg ich nicht aus dem ohr.
